Plants By Laurali January Green Witch Forecast: New Beginnings

This is your January Green Witch Forecast for turning over a new leaf! The spiritual meaning of January is all about fresh starts and new beginnings, much like a new moon phase. This is also the season of making green witch-style New Year’s resolutions and keeping them!

As a nature witch, I am familiar with seasonal shifts, weather changes, and astrological forecasts. A big part of my craft is working with monthly magic!

Through the years, I’ve begun to see the patterns and themes each month brings. Even though the planets may be doing different things simultaneously each year, an overall theme tends to emerge that can help us navigate each month.

It will feel like you are turning over a new leaf in January! A brand-new year has begun and the slate is clean. There are so many fresh possibilities right around the corner for you!

At this point, we’ve made it through the busy holiday season, and now things can calm down again. We can return to simpler times when our pace is slower.

The winter months are always a period of slow down, shadow work, and reflection. It’s a time of turning inward to discover what sparks our souls.

On the upside, January is also a month of great motivation! Many people feel inspired in January, revved up to fulfill resolutions, and set intentions for the year ahead!

People tend to go hard at the beginning of the year, only to fall off early in the year. This is a reminder to go slow and pace yourself. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither were you!

Gates and Doorways Magic Symbolism

Gates and doorways grant entry into new phases of your life. Walking through the gate can denote a transitional phase while walking through doorways denotes entering the realm of fresh possibility. It is the liminal space in between things. It is a bridge you can cross from one phase into the next. Entering a gate or doorway is like walking into the unknown, fully trusting you’ll end up someplace good. Since January is all about glow-ups and spiritual awakenings, you might find yourself entering a phase of personal growth and transformation. The Roman God Janus is the God of doors and gateways and the month of January was made in honor of him!

The Roman God Janus: God of Gates and Doorways

As noted before, The Roman God Janus is the lord of gates and doorways! January is the optimal time to work with him. Janus represents new beginnings which the month of January is all about! He is often depicted as having two faces looking in two different directions. This means he can see things from different perspectives. To work with Lord Janus, bring to him a problem that needs a higher or different perspective, and he will surely show you the way!

The Planet Venus: Glow-Ups, Makeovers, and Spiritual Awakenings

Venus is the planet of sparkle and shine! Nothing says turning over a new leaf like the planet Venus. Venus is the planet that shines brightly every Friday and during the month of January, she steals the show! Venus represents beauty, money, love, relationships, values, and art. In January, there may be a focus on your aesthetic!

Angel Number One Symbolism

The spiritual meaning of the number one can mean a spiritual awakening is close by! During the first month of the year, you might be pushed outside your comfort zone a little. You may try things you never thought you could do before. You may become more open-minded as your third-eye chakra is activated and opened. This can often push you to make some stellar changes in your life so get ready!

Turning Over a New Leaf Symbolism

To turn over a new leaf is to turn the next page! Turning over a new leaf represents a fresh chapter in your life where you start over again or try things in a new way. It brings hope, optimism, and renewal to all it touches! Are you ready to turn over a new leaf in January?

Spirits to Work With For a Glow-Up

Here are some additional spirits you can work with to achieve that major glow-up and spiritual awakening! It’s important to note that a glow-up isn’t just skin deep. A glow-up can mean a makeover in your finances, beauty routine, health regime, and a spiritual transformation of sorts. The spirits I have chosen are great with glamour magic, shapeshifting, and healing!

  • Lady Aphrodite - Goddess Aphrodite is the Greek goddess of love, beauty, and relationships. She represents the finer things in life and how we see ourselves. She is highly connected to the planet Venus. Therefore, Lady Aphrodite can assist you with a goddess glow-up you wouldn’t believe! She’s great at teaching you self-love and acceptance. She can show you the places you need to work on yourself and highlight your strengths. If you want to look and feel beautiful (inside and out) then the Goddess Aphrodite is your go-to girl! You can easily reach Aphrodite in the shower or when taking a bath or a dip in the ocean.

  • Lady Parvati - Goddess Parvati is the Hindu goddess of yoga, mountains, and new beginnings! If you are looking to incorporate the magic of yoga into your daily routine, then she’s the one you want to call on. She’s great at getting you on your yoga mat each day! In addition to that, Parvati can help you deepen your practice by strengthening the eight limbs of yoga. Many people know about asana (posture) and pranayama (breathing), but the other limbs can bring new meaning into your yoga routine. You can easily reach her during yoga practice! Bonus points for doing it outdoors.

  • Lord Ares - The Greek God Ares can provide you with fitness motivation and the courage to achieve your goals! He is also the god of great strength and can help you start a yoga or weight training regimen that is built to last. Even though Ares is the god of war, he can help you push through when you find yourself waning. To call on Ares during the Winter Solstice, build a fire! Ares loves the fire element and feels most at home there. Stare into the fire and talk to Ares about what goals you’d like to achieve and which areas of your life could use a little motivation. Things will become clear soon enough!

  • Lady Circe - Goddess Circe is an enchantress and minor goddess in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Goddess Hekate and has learned an accumulation of herbal and plant knowledge from her. When you need a natural remedy, Goddess Circe is who you want to call on! In addition to that, Circe is a pro at glamour magic, shapeshifting, and herbal craft. You can easily reach Circe when you need an herbal remedy for any kind of health problem!

  • Nature Spirits - The nature spirits, also known as the fairy folk, are probably the most prominent spirits you can call on during a life transition. They live in the in-between realm, also known as the lower realm, in another realm within the Earthly realm. They are easily accessible, but you have to play nice and follow their rules. You have to make friends first by picking up trash and caring for the planet. You can easily reach them on a nature walk!

As you can see, January is a month of turning over a new leaf! It’s a time when we can start new routines and rituals to enrich our lives and improve our overall health and well-being. Welcome to January and a happy new year!
