November Green Witch Forecast: Gratitude and Abundance
This is your November Green Witch Forecast filled with gratitude and abundance! The spiritual meaning of November is all about growth and expansion. This is also the month where the American holiday Thanksgiving comes into play!
As a nature witch, I am familiar with seasonal shifts, weather changes, and astrological forecasts. A big part of my craft is working with monthly magic!
Through the years, I’ve begun to see the patterns and themes each month brings. Even though the planets may be doing different things each year at the same time, an overall theme tends to emerge that can help us navigate each month.
November is where you’ll find a lot of growth, and expansion, as the planet Jupiter is a prominent figure at this time. You are more likely to feel a pull towards home, family, and material things.
This month is all about learning, growing, and developing new insights. There could be a focus on higher education and studies, as well as a shift towards money matters and the material world.
This is a period when you can learn and discover a lot about yourself and the world around you. There might be a shift in your mindset towards gratitude and abundance.
The more you focus on gratitude and abundance this month, the more it expands in your life and becomes bigger, thanks to the almighty Jupiter playing such an active role. This is a great time to dream big!
In the October Green Witch Forecast, the veil became thinner and you were able to acknowledge and see things you’ve never been able to see before. By the time the Samhain holiday rolled around, the veil had completely diminished and you were left with the truth.
The month of November is centered around abundance, the harvest, and the fruits of your labors! There could be a shift toward work, career, and money matters. You might begin building a nest egg this month that can serve you for many years to come!
There is a feeling of plenty this month! It’s the optimal time to reap the rewards of everything you’ve worked so hard for and expand on it.
Here, in Florida, we’ve already had our first cold front and there’s a feeling of renewal and optimism in the air. In other places, it might be getting colder and preparing for the snowy, winter months ahead.
This is a time of preparation before winter. You’ll begin squirreling away food and drink for the cold winter months, just like our ancestors once did, only in a more modern way. The magic of ancestor veneration is that it is our natural inclination to prepare for winter and it’s in our DNA!
The spiritual meaning of November is home, family, and material things! It represents a period of prosperity and abundance for all of us.
November closes out big spiritual cycles, in order to allow new growth in the coming months. This is a great time to close chapters, finish end-of-the-year projects, and say goodbye to the things that no longer serve you!

Cornucopia Magic Symbolism
The cornucopia represents gratitude for the blessings and abundance you have received throughout the year! It represents home, family, celebration, and breaking bread with friends and neighbors. At its core, it represents gratitude and abundance! In addition to that, the cornucopia represents good luck and the Goddess Fortuna, also known as Lady Luck. She happens to be my patron deity!
Gratitude Journal and Gratitude Lists
This is the optimal time to start a gratitude journal or gratitude list! Although I do think it’s important to show gratitude and be thankful year-round, it’s never too late to be thankful. I just recently started journaling about the things I’m thankful for! I use the Gratitude Self-Care Journal and it comes complete with a journal, daily affirmations, daily zen inspiration, and a vision board. I’m already noticing a difference in how I look at life and I’m thinking of making this my New Year’s Resolution for next year!
Thanksgiving Holiday Spiritual Meaning
In Hebrew, the word thanksgiving means confession, praise, and offering. This makes perfect sense, as the Thanksgiving holiday is a day of both offering and thanks! We are offering our thanks to the gods. We are offering our food and harvests to the gods. In ancient times that’s what they did. For American Thanksgiving, we were thankful for discovering the brave new world that still exists today, as well as a time of peace with the Native American people. Thanksgiving represents harvest, abundance, plenty, and gratitude. The month of November is all about an attitude of gratitude! The more grateful you are, the more the universe sends your way.
The Roman Goddess Fortuna Cornucopia Symbolism
The Roman Goddess Fortuna is often depicted holding a cornucopia, which represents good luck and great fortune! You might feel her presence very strongly in November. This is a time to give thanks and offerings to her. By doing so, you are opening up the door to opportunities and fortuitous events in your life. Fortuna is also the god in charge of change. She is represented on the Wheel of Fortune tarot card, as she controls the fates, and which way the wheel is spinning. This is a great time of the year to honor her. She might just bring good luck and great fortune in your direction!
The Planet Jupiter: Abundance, Growth, and Expansion
Spiritually, Jupiter represents luck, wealth, abundance, and an expansion of all good things! Thursday is Jupiter’s favorite day of the week, which coincidentally Thanksgiving happens to fall on. Thursdays are great days to do abundance spells and give offerings to Jupiter. You can do this by creating a money bowl and feeding it each Thursday or by writing a gratitude list to Jupiter. Honor Jupiter this Thanksgiving holiday!
Spirits to Work With for Gratitude and Abundance
Here are some additional spirits you can work with this November to create more gratitude and abundance in your life! The spirit helpers I picked out can help you create more prosperity in your life, as well as an attitude of gratitude. Doing so will bring more luck into your life!
Lord Hades - Yes, Hades is the god of the underworld, but did you know he is associated with wealth? Hades is someone I turn to quite often for money magick! The Greek God Hades is warm, kind, and generous. He shares his ideas and wisdom with those who seek it. You can call on Hades during a time of financial difficulty! He can help turn your luck around. Be sure to give him an offering and thanks!
Toad Animal Familiar - Toad animal spirit is associated with great fortune. Not only do toads denote cycles and transformation (think metamorphosis), but they are a favorite animal of witches worldwide! The toad symbolizes fortune, good luck, and fertility. To call on toad animal familiar, visualize or spend time with a real toad. Ask the toad spirit for wealth and prosperity and visualize it sending it to you. Give thanks to Toad's spirit!
Gnome Earth Spirit - A gnome is an elemental earth spirit that mines and protects the treasures of the Earth. They can protect your treasures, too. Family heirlooms, deeds, and wills, as well as the protection of your nest egg for the future. Gnomes are shy, but extremely human-friendly! It takes time to establish a relationship with them, but in the end, they make it completely worth your while. To work with gnome spirit, spend time in trees, as trees are magic! The gnomes use the trees as portals between the lower realm and the earthly realm. Leave offerings at the base of trees and make sure all offerings are non-toxic and environmentally-friendly! Gnomes can give you what you want, but you’ve got to earn their trust.
High John the Conqueror - You’ve probably heard of High John the Conqueror root, which was aptly named after the African-American folk hero. John the Conqueror was a slave in America who was known for his trickery and ability to outsmart people! He is well-known amongst Hoodoo and folk magic practitioners. High John the Conqueror can open the road to love, money, and success to you! To call on him, hold a conqueror root in your dominant hand each night and ask him for something you really want. It must be of high importance to you! Do it each night until you receive your wish fulfillment. Warning: He works fast! I wanted a new digital SLR camera and within 10 days, I received it. I feel blessed to work with him and you will, too!
As you can see, November is a great month for gratitude and abundance! Right now, at this moment, I am thankful to the gods and all of my readers. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! xoxo
